The Sandton Potjiekos Competition is one of our most popular team building events and is sure to be popular with any foodies. Our Potjiekos Competition is a popular outdoor team building activity, but it can also be done indoors with our gas potjies. Each team gets a Mystery Box with chef hats, aprons, utensils, herbs, spices and veggies. While one team will get all the tomatoes, the other team might have the potatoes, etc. Then teams then have to “swop” or “trade” these goodies to cook a potjie that represents a cuisine, i.e. Thai, Chinese, Mexican, or Italian etc. During the competition, teams can also win essential ingredients, like salt and pepper, with fun group activities. Meat includes Beef & Chicken.

09h00 Arrival Coffee and Giant Muffins at the Bryanston Sports Club

Let us divide the teams without being prejudiced. The goal is to let everybody interact like never before, the buddies, clicks and friends in fun group activities. Laughter guaranteed in 30 seconds. Everybody gets a number. All the “number 1’s” would be in a team, and all the “number 2’s” in another team, etc. About five to ten people per team works great for this team building event.

09h30 Ice Breakers & Dividing Of Teams

Does your team need some dopamine? Laughter guaranteed. This can be an indoor or outdoor team building activity. Everybody stands in a circle. The entire group partake in many short activities for example People to People, 37 Finger Grab, Kissing the Baby, Circle of Dance, Knee to Knee, Surviving Joburg, Bang Bang, Human Knot, Jocky Mount, AKA, Circles, Nail Activity, and Imaginary Pics – just to mention a few. Depending on the group size. We will never be able to do them all, but we will try to do as many as we can.

An Amazing Race Imagination

This Amazing Race consists of no running, has low physical requirements and is fit for all ages. Our Amazing Race is hilarious and is a race against imagination and creativity. Teams start with a short detour, then they have to solve riddles, find interesting places & people that do not "exist" within and around the venue and then WhatsApp a Group Photo as proof that they have been there. Yip, they will have to use their imagination.

Ksmart Escape Room

Try our new top seller Escape Room. This is a mix between finding physical clues & solving riddles online. We are not going to lock you in a room to break out, instead this is an outdoor event, but it can be done indoors. You have 60 minutes to find all the clues. Teams can either swap their clues with other teams to unlock a digital vault or they can solve the riddles to open the vault.

The Potjies Are Judged & Served

Each team will select one member to be a judge, and each judge will score for a different category, i.e. Taste, Presentation, and Variety of Ingredients. The potjies are then served and shared by the entire group. The potjies are served with pap, assorted salads and a 340ml soft drink.

Kosher, Vegetarian, and/or Vegan Meals

Vegetarian meals are ordered on arrival from ANAT, Barcelos, Mochachos, Ocean Basket etc. We regret, no Kosher or Gluten Free Meals are available, and you may bring your own.

15h45 Winners Are Announced & Depart At Leisure

Teams have to solve riddles and then go on as many rides as possible, including the Anaconda, Dream Boat, Golden Loop, Jozi Express, Miners Revenge, UFO etc.

Teams take "selfies" with various abstract background, i.e. Donald Trump, Traffic Officers, Angelina Jolie, Olympics etc.

Tower of Terror
Earn bonus points for this heart-stopping 50m drop at a speed a of 100km p/h straight into an open mine shaft. Definitely not for everyone.

Fun Train
Easy bonus points by simply taking a scenic train ride around the Gold Reef City theme park. The train departs every 15 minutes.

Buffet Lunch and Soft Drinks at Barney's
